Like OMG: Who is this Emilie Pirlot?
Look familiar? Well of course it does. An outfit very similar to this one was worn by none other than the lovely and ever so talented Lady Gaga, and Beyonce in Gaga's more recent video Telephone. The following is almost straight off the run way of Emilie Pirlot’s 2009 ‘Mysterious Wonderland' show. Emilie is quoted as saying
"I wanted to create a really mysterious and poetic collection but that stays strong, feminine and elegant in the same time."There is not a lot of information about this designer, as interesting, creative, and unique as she seems.
How lucky is Gaga to have custom made clothing by top notch designers at her finger tips? According to a blog i read not too long ago Emilie was only brought on board a week before shooting the video. She designed and made the outfits for both Gaga, and Beyonce in a week.

New Love: Gareth Pugh
So how did i discover Gareth Pugh? Well the answer is simple, its the same way i find everything i love: Fashion TV. I was absolutely captivated and moved when i first saw his spring 2009 collection. The music of the show, the way the models walked, and the most obvious the clothing the models wore was more than just beautiful it was unique, like something i have never seen before.
The architecture of his pieces are phenomenal, and left me at awe. The three dimensional shapes of the clothing was again, like nothing i have ever seen before. The theme of the collection for spring 2010, was based around light coming out of dark. The metaphoric meaning or message behind his line was evident through the black colored back of the clothing, and the white frontal exposure, almost conveying light comes out of dark, or from darkness. Like much of his work, he plays on a gothic/fantasy element. This line sold me on Gareth, and i am now a devoted fan. I look forward to his future collections, and wish for him to continue, as his talent is remarkable!
